Review of GMS Patch 0.88

July 30, 2010

The Dual Blades has arrived upon the scene. Nexon sure has made changes upon entering the game. It’s drastic but I’m coping over the changes that has been the same since 2005.

More relentless tack ons

June 18, 2010

I’ll be growing a tumor in my brain for this. Otherwise known as GMS Patch review 0.86.

v.86 Update Notes
Everything you need to know about this patch.

Return of the Explorers – Part I
What you need to know is this:
If you are the new generation of players who hasn’t even played adventurer classes or consider some of the adventurer classes to suck massive ass, then this will motivate you to play some more. Basically, it’s more rebalancing the game of the positive spurs of certain classes that tend to be 70% of the time quit due to monotone character class.

It’s only an improvement on the classes that isn’t played to the extent of having to be a statless class. Or the possiblity of having a certain class overplayed for over 100,000 times.

I’ll give you the breakdown on which classes improved upon:
Magicians – Ice/Lightning and Fire/Poison classes.
Pirates – Mainly for Gun users, very little for those using knuckles.
Warrior – All of these skills are for anyone who has a White Knight or Paladin. In exception to Hex of the Beholder.
Bowmen – For crossbow users, little for bow users.
Thief – All of these skills for a character that carries a knife.

Celebrate a Month of Pride and Joy
All for those who want to participate those events involving getting married and get wedding gifts if you win (or not) or even drawing a chibi explorer character. Next.

Return of the Explorers Event
If you continue playing as a explorer/adventurer, you won’t get these items easily. Only the ring is available if you manage to level you character 30 times to get the ring. That even includes the level 200s.

However if you are starting over a new explorer/adventurer, this will benefit you very well. Hit the levels lines of 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50, you get the rewards.

Am I the only person knows that there’s something severely wrong here?

MapleStory Introduces the Friend Finder
The friend finder is a complex object. I however, do not find it helpful or any particular use. Only a promotion for the beginners of explorers I suppose.

Considering the world right now, it’s annoying the shit out everyone existing in game. See about that Super Megaphone that says “Sent me a Friend request”.

Rediscover Maple World
Useless events, expireable items and lame items. Next please.

The Mystery of the Golden Temple
The golden temple is now open to the public. Time is limited unless you have tickets. It might be a good training ground for any level.

There is also a boss called “Ravana” which happen to drop a helmet that’s almost equivalent to zhelm or even to Targa/Scarlion helms. Even a possiblity that Ravana boss has low HP incomparison to other giant bosses.

The Permanent Item Option is Here
Now the feature of permanent NX has returned, it’s about time. For 90 days, you get the regular price but for a permanent clothing, it’s doubled. Also, it cleared the clutter of the Cash Shop. Instead of separate items of the same, you can click down and select your preference. It’s pretty much better for the cash shop.

One a Day Sale
Random promotions for each day. It depends if only Nexon tells us. Next.

Goal-den Items
This is a really lame pun. Goal-den? Seriously? Certain packages are worth it. The discount package.

A Fresh Start in MapleStory
Cash Shop items all for a discount if you have more disposible income.

Gachapon Exploration!
More useless junk that regular users don’t need. The collective chairs and gachapon stamps. Of course the android set is awesome and speculatation to be a power item.

This review is sponsored by Nexon’s encouragement on you to throw more money out the ocean.
Show your pride and joy! Get some NX today!
Show your Explorer some love! Get some NX today!
Are you geared for your adventures? Get some NX today!
Are you ready to Explore? Get some NX today!
Start constructing the ultimate look, get some NX today!
This sale won’t last forever. Stock up on NX today!
Goooooooooooooooooo! Get some NX now! (This is a lame pun dammit)
Make that special someone happy. Get some NX today!
Get your Gachopon on! Get some NX today! (Dumb pun)

Overall, this patch is alright. Most of this content is based on to continue to spend more NX.

You want to know? There’s no extra slot for your character after the patch. All in all, a premonition to buy NX to expand your character slot. If you have an extra character slot, you’re good to go. If you have a character that’s below level 50, you’re also good to go.

It seems that I also miss out certain events that occur in KMS. A new resistance job. It does wonders on why Nexon continues to milk the franchise for what it’s worth.

Evan class review

April 9, 2010

Let me start out by saying that I’ve spent about one whole week on Evan class. And reached level 35 in my part. And it’s a excruciating leveling up process too. You won’t consider leveling up to 100 be professional, I consider it efficiency since my PC is utter shit and having massive people jump the Evan bandwagon.

Instead of listing what’s different about the Evan class, I’ll give you my personal perspective when I trained the Evan.

This is my review of Evan class.

Semi Review of GMS Patch 0.84

April 1, 2010

You think I’m gone just like that? Life has been kicking my ass hard enough but I’m still gonna suffer for playing this darn game for the hell of it and having other buddies online begging and pleading me to stay behind.

Anyway.

For all the unnecessary hype that Nexon America placed on Evan, it’s certainly the same events from the last legend when Aran arrived. You need proof? Here’s the stuff that Nexon gives.

My final post here.

March 26, 2010

Yes, you hear me. I’m officially stop posting here and moving on to better things.

What motivated me to finally stop is because real life is kicking my arse hard enough to wake me up. MapleStory isn’t my life so I’m retiring and leave my account to gather dust. That unless you folks convince me 5 ways why I will stick around.

So as my final post to end it all, this is my review of MapleStory. Maybe I’ll return here when May’s event arrives.

I would like to thank the readers. And my ego. And those who are around me.

Review of GMS Patch 0.83

February 26, 2010

Right. Since there’s so much haters going on with this Neo City installment and having a massive update is making my head spin, here are the results:

Filler here

February 5, 2010

All we have here is valentine’s event that’s been the same for the past 4 years. Only difference is having useable chocolate and time limit equip.

Oh okay, there’s more hacking where that came from. I bet the compensation doesn’t make up for this magnitude. Say goodbye to your maple life and move on.

Hey, at least people know what Nexon America really is.

And hey, we got ourselves a new legend class in KMS coming soon. It’s a thief that dual wields.

I’m going through some pretty damn changes and I’m more pissed off.

Hopefully something good for next week probably.
